The Cetinale gardens, noted for its magnificent wisteria in the spring, are filled with yellow and pink climbing roses, lilies, irises, and vine covered pergolas. Fields of wild flowers contrast with tall cypresses bordering the avenue of statues. Hikers can climb the 'holy staircase' built in the 1600s leading up to the Romitorio where the views of the surrounding countryside are spectacular.
